A glance at the Mystic Rectanglesmonthy “Mars Out” forecast shows several septile (triseptile) aspects of outer planets.  These aspects are subtle, but they mark this as a day of karma in which we best help ourselves by anonymously helping someone less fortunate than ourselves without expecting anything in return.

Pluto / Vesta are square, and we find a conflict between “doing things the way we have always done them” and the true sources of power present in power structures such as the police and intelligence agencies.  For some people, this is a time of very kinky sex (if you are into that kind of thing).  For anyone who is a “sex worker”: please be extra careful at this time.

Sunday brings the second part of the T-Square we previously mentioned: Mercury square Uranus.  We have visited this aspect several times since December, and we are probably tired of it by now.  With Moon in Scorpio, we may be up for one last fight, but is it worth it?  Only you can decide.

For better or worse, this aspect will bring insights.  Creatives, particularly writers and computer programmers (who do creative programming) will prosper.  Others will find themselves suddenly thinking “out of the box” and wondering “why was I in ‘the box’ to begin with.”  It is definitely a day of surprises for at least some people, particularly Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn.  You almost certainly felt this on Saturday (and maybe Friday), and you will almost certainly feel it on Monday (and maybe Tuesday).

Mars Septile North Node.  Septiles are about Karma.  The North Node is about Karma.  Both of these, together, compound each other.  In its low form, Mars is about anger, violence, and war.  In its high form, Mars is about the right actions.  You get to choose which of these today, and it probably refers to someone less fortunate than yourself or someone you owe amends.

Saturday feels like the “pause before the storm,” or, more likely, “the eye of the hurricane.”  “Things” may calm down some, but this Moon is void and this day is bracketed by the Mercury conjunct Pluto aspect of Friday and the Mercury square Uranus aspect of Sunday.  Can you “get things done”?  Maybe.  But you should avoid major purchases or disputes or both, and we favor this day for housecleaning and taking care of routine matters.  We do think some people can prosper on this date, particularly financial or tax auditors looking for financial misdeeds.  (But, do not be surprised if the evidence “disappears.”)

Venus Sextile Neptune lends a “feel good” quality to the day, and we may be overoptimistic and believe in people, places, and situations that will not last.

Friday a Hard Rectangle perfects.  These tend to be rare, but quite a few of them perfect in 2016.   This is a strange day in which you either come to a complete halt or accomplish more than you can ordinarily hope for.  Middle ground does not tend to exist in any matter; extremism will tend to dominate.  Tempers can flare, so direct your focus appropriately.

In Europe and the UK, as well as those in Eastern Standard Time, Mercury conjunct Pluto perfects on Saturday, shortly after midnight for those in EST.  For points west, including CST, MST, and PST, the perfection of this aspect occurs Friday evening.  In any case, this amplifies the effects of both the Thor’s Hammer and the Hard Rectangle. We can add little to describe the third in this series except to say that it brackets what has been a tough window for some people (form Jan 22 to Jan 29).  The previous perfections were on December 19, 2015 and January 22, 2016.  The good news is that this should clear out in a few days, and February should bring some relief.
